This past week, Mom started back to work fulltime, and Kayleigh went to daycare. So far, the adjustment has been rough for both. Mom and Dad are hopeful that Kayleigh will make lots of friends and get to experience unique interactions with the other babies that she wouldn’t get at home. However, she hasn’t been eating well, and the whole process has been somewhat frustrating. It has only been a few days, and Mom and Dad are confident that she will adjust to her new environment. She has adapted very well to all of the challenges presented to her and will no doubt do the same with the transition into the daycare center.
Since Mom and Dad are both back to work now, and evening time with Kayleigh is precious, the blog is not going to be updated as often. There will be periodic updates, but now that Kayleigh is doing better and her health is improving, Mom and Dad are going to spend most of the evening just hanging out as a family. Thanks again for all of your interest, comments and prayers over the past few months.

Just as suspected...she gets CUTER!!!
Selfishly, I would love to see pictures of Kayleigh and read about her progress as often as possible. However, I certainly understand your need to spend time together as a family. Just know that your extended "family" will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Kayleigh will adjust to her new situation much quicker than you will. She'll flash that smile and people will melt. I'll look forward to a new post whenever you are able. For me, a day without Kayleigh, is like a day without sunshine.
Hello Rickert Family:
Our hope is that the transition quickly gets easier for all of you. Remember that you have lots of friends thinking of you often and willing to help out with the smallest requests. We wish you all good luck in this next phase of parenthood. Daycare can be quite a tough experience at first, but it can also be another great extended family for all of you.
HAVE FUN KAYLEIGH, AND SHOW THOSE OTHER KIDS WHAT FUN A DAY WITH YOU CAN BE !!! Twining Family
